π MIXED NOMINATED PAIRS FINAL πThe final game to conclude on Sunday afternoon β and bring what had been a very busy weekend at Ralston Bowling Club to a close β was another of our five major competitions, the Mixed Nominated Pairs for the Drewette Trophy.The winners of the Drewette go on to represent the club in the Scottish Championships, with the opportunity to progress all the way to the Scottish National Finals at Northfield.This yearβs final saw John & Joyce Watson take on Cammy & Ruth Munro.It was a strong performance from Cammy and Ruth, who came through to take the win and lift the Drewette Trophy, becoming our 2026 Mixed Pairs Champions! ππHard lines to John and Joyce, who had a great run through the competition to reach the final.And a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Cammy & Ruth Munro on a fantastic win and on earning the chance to represent Ralston in the Scottish Championships. ππA brilliant way to round off a fantastic weekend of bowls at the club!#RalstonBowlingClub #ClubFinals #MixedPairs #DrewetteTrophy #Bowls #Champions
π GENTSβ PRESIDENTS FINAL πNext up on Sunday afternoon was a hugely anticipated final, with Andy Howat taking on David Houston for the Gentsβ Presidents R. J. Halden Trophy.This was a final packed with experience, with both players having lifted the trophy on multiple occasions in the past.Andy came into the game as the defending champion, having won it for the third time last year, while David is an incredible eight-time past winner of the trophy.As expected, it was a very tough contest between two excellent players, but in the end it was Andy Howat who came through to retain the title. ππA huge well done to both players for reaching the final, and commiserations to Davie on this occasion.And a massive CONGRATULATIONS to Andy Howat, our 2026 Gentsβ Presidents Champion, retaining the R. π GENTSβ HANDICAP CUP FINAL πThe finals action continued on Sunday afternoon, with another three club finals taking place at Ralston Bowling Club.The first trophy decided was the Gentsβ Handicap Cup, with Ian Redmond and Craig Sinclair battling it out for the win.Craig made full use of his three-shot handicap advantage, building up a commanding lead and keeping the pressure on right through the game.In the end, Craig saw it through to take the victory and lift the Ian Simpson Trophy as our 2026 Gentsβ Handicap Champion! ππHard lines to Ian after another strong run to a club final, and a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Craig Sinclair on a well-deserved win.Well played both! ππ#RalstonBowlingClub #ClubFinals #GentsHandicap #IanSimpsonTrophy #Bowls

π PAISLEY & DISTRICT CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS β GENTSβ FOURS πOn Saturday, our Gentsβ Fours were back out representing Ralston Bowling Club in the Paisley & District Champion of Champions.After some hard-fought victories over the past few weeks against Anchor, Blacklandmill and Elderslie Wallace, the guys had earned their place in Saturday morningβs Semi-Final at Charleston, where they faced Victoria BC.And what a performance it was! πA really solid display from all four players saw Ralston come through the Semi-Final and book their place in the FINAL, scheduled for 2:30pm at Anchor against Charleston BC, who had also won their morning Semi-Final.Ralston got off to a good start in the Final, with a 5β0 lead after the opening two ends, but Charleston responded quickly and from there the game developed into a real battle.It was nip and tuck all the way, with Ralston eventually edging ahead 14β12 going into the final end on what was proving to be a very tricky rink.With Ralston sitting the shot, Charleston produced an excellent bowl to burn the end and force it to be replayed.On the replayed final end, Charleston managed to secure the three shots they needed to take the game and become the Paisley & District Gentsβ Fours Champion of Champions.A huge congratulations to Charleston on their victory from everyone at Ralston Bowling Club. It was a fantastic final, played in great spirit and with excellent sportsmanship throughout. π LADIESβ PRESIDENTS FINAL πNext up in our busy Finals Weekend, Friday night saw three club finals being contested β the Gentsβ Nominated Fours, Ladiesβ Presidents and Ladiesβ Balloted Pairs.It was a fantastic night at the club, with three great finals and a brilliant turnout of members coming along to support the players and enjoy some exciting bowls. πThe first trophy decided on the night was the Ladiesβ Presidents, contested between our current champion Abbie Harris and Angie Kerr.Angie put up a great fight and pushed Abbie all the way, but Abbie came through to take the win and retain the Ladiesβ Presidents trophy for another year! ππHard lines to Angie after a great run to the final, and a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Abbie on another excellent performance and another title! ππUnfortunately, Abbie had to head off immediately after the game due to other commitments, so we didnβt manage to get our usual winnerβs photo on the night β but that certainly doesnβt take away from another fantastic achievement!Well done, Abbie! π#RalstonBowlingClub #ClubFinals #LadiesPresidents #Bowls #Champion

π PAISLEY & DISTRICT CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS πLast Saturday morning, our players were back out representing Ralston Bowling Club in the Paisley & District Champion of Champions, facing some incredibly tough competition across the district.Unfortunately, this yearβs Club Champion, Dougie Craig, was beaten in his Singles tie against a strong Priorscroft opponent at Wellmeadow.However, there was plenty to celebrate, with our Pairs, Triples, Fours and Senior Fours all winning their morning ties and progressing to the next round. πAfter a quick lunch, it was straight back into action at 2pm, with our teams travelling to Renfrew, Blacklandmill and Kilbarchan to represent the club once again.More hard-fought matches followed, and unfortunately our Senior Fours, Triples and Pairs saw their runs come to an end.But our Fours produced another excellent performance to book their place in the Semi-Final this Saturday! πͺπ΄π΅π Their run so far has been outstanding:β Defeated last yearβs winners Anchor in the Preliminary Roundβ Defeated Blacklandmillβ Defeated Elderslie WallaceThey now face Victoria Bowling Club in the Semi-Final:π

π₯πErskine Mixed Foursππ₯Last Saturday we held our annual mixed fours competition in aid of Erskine Veterans CharityWe had a great turnout with both greens full, the charity ran their own stall and we had some of their veterans taking part in the competition.οΏ½οΏ½There was some terrific bowling and the two teams who reached the final got there after winning all their qualifying games.Congratulations to David, Lynda, Evelyn and Alan for a great win and commiserations to Ryan, Wull, Donnie and Celia who were narrowly beaten in the final.οΏ½οΏ½Overall the day was a great success with over Β£1000 raised for Erskine Veterans Charity

π₯ Ralston's National Championships Journey π₯As the Eclipse π began overhead it brought to an end our 2026 National Championships Northfield Journey, what all began with Abbie Harris on Saturday morning in the Under 18s Singles finished with Abbie playing her 10th game in 5 days π²π² in the Ladies Under 25s Final, winning a silver medal π₯On Saturday Ryan Kerr and Blair McDonald began their Under 18s Pairs, winning their 1st 2 games only to come up against 2 Under 18s Scotland Internationals who would go onto win the Under 18s Pairs so no disgrace to be beaten by the eventual winners.To Abbie and Ryan, all the Ralston members are proud of your efforts over the last 5 days.Congratulations to Abbie on her Gold and Silver Medals π₯π₯ πππ

At 9am Abbie Harris looks to go at least 1 better on last years Ladies Under 25s Bronze Medal π₯ as she plays her Semi Final.Yesterday Abbie pulled off a top drawer performance coming back from 16-11 down, showing nerves of steel, even although everyone supporting Abbie nerves were in tatters, to win 21-20. With less than half an hour to compose and reset herself Abbie put in another great performance, to book her place in todays Semi Final.If you can't be here you certainly don't want to miss it….. watch it live on YouTube

Space to play and socialise. We are in the enviable position of having two beautifully tended greens, allowing our players to turn up and play on most occasions without requiring to book. Our greens are open from April to October. Over the winter months we also have a short carpet in our function room allowing members to carry on playing and compete internally as well as competitively in the Paisley & District Indoor leagues.

The club is fortunate to still have 2 greens for playing on, allowing members to just turn up and play on most occasions.
Licensed Bars
We also have 2 licensed bars, a full function suite downstairs with monthly events for members and a members lounge upstairs with full gallery views of both greens

We can cater for over 100 guests in our fully licensed private function suite. Perfect for any occasion.
